Crew for O'ahu to the mainland

Crew Spotlight: Hawai'i Kai

Shanghi'd crew

Known for her side-questing and speak easy detective work, Kai is as comfortable exploring on land as racing on the water, bringing sparkle and talk story to the adventure! Kai is the perfect bow-babe as she is wicked strong and agile. However, Kai has been known to hide in the refrigerator, apparently to prepare for the chilly conditions of the Pacific Northwest. This is a rather useful trait as the rest of the crew only needs to ask for something and it is delivered up and out of the deep, top-loading fridge.

Crew Spotlight: Sweet-Baby Chris

Shanghi'd crew

By day an unassuming college student, hard working and diligent, but Chris' true nature only reveals itself under the mystical conditions of Rhiannon where his true super-hero nature can reveal itself. Whimsical and wickedly smart, he connects with locals, finding their true selves and getting them to reveal local knowledge.

Crew Spotlight: Sydni Schlosser

Shanghi'd crew

Not only skilled racer and trim mavin, Sydni doubles as a pirate under the right conditions. Though she confuses meatballs and cookies, we know meals will be fun. Afterall, who doesn't eat dessert first? Life is uncertain! Sydni has sailed Corfu and Ionian water, the Gulf of Mexico and the Hawaiian islands aboard cruiser and racing boats, leaving broken hearts in her wake.

Crew Spotlight: Tim Farmery

Shanghi'd crew

Often found around water in all its forms (ocean, snow, cocktails, etc), Tim returned S/V Mikani from O'ahu to San Diego last summer and wants to do the Pacific crossing again! Not just a glutton for punishment, Tim can cook curry under any conditions While keeping an eye on the fishing line and all the while looking calm.

Crew Spotlight: Heather Fatino

Shanghi'd crew

Usually mermaiding at the piano keys of raceboat, Kurrewa, Heather is a boat-whisperer, creating an immediate connection with Rhiannon when out day sailing. Now her soul is joining the Rhiannon adventure, where her artistic spirit and sailing prowess will carry us all through the journey.

Crew Spotlight: Bill Witmarsh

Shanghi'd crew

With over 30 years of experience on board small dive boats, Bill completed the 2025 Transpac on a Catalin 38, named Makani, and then took her back to San Diego. Bill has spent as much time sailing the Pacific as he has around Great Brittan and Scotland. A master of story telling and tall tales, everyone on board will benefit from his deep maritime experience.
